Akeru Aikido

Stalybridge

I’m mum to a child with additional needs and I know how hard the school holidays can be for our children.

This summer holiday, I’m hosting and coaching  a special class for SEN children and their families to come and learn a some new self defence skills, build confidence, increase physical fitness and help with mental wellbeing.

I have chosen the name ‘Akeru’ as it means open. These classes are open to all who want to learn.

I’m fully qualified to teach Tomiki Aikido, first aid trained and hold an enhanced DBS check.

All sensory aids such as ear phones, chew buddies, sunglasses etc are very welcome and can be used throughout the classes. Quiet area available if needed. All attendees are allowed to move around and have as many breaks as they need. There is also no requirement to stay for the full session, families may leave whenever they need.
