What's Involved

Timings: Full day facilitated workshop (approx 10am-2:30pm)
Venue: Portland Basin Museum
Costs: £222 for TMBC schools / £244 for non-TMBC schools

Let our resident botanist introduce your pupils to a variety of common wild and garden plants, and help them explore how these plants grow and discover their uses through the ages. Then turn back time and go green! Your budding botanists can try an eco-friendly traditional technique, producing plant dyes for creation of their own sustainable artwork.

Venue information

This workshop is delivered from Portland Basin Museum:

  • There is free onsite parking for coaches – please note the car park has a cobbled surface.
  • There is a museum shop where your class is welcome to make purchases under supervision or we can arrange goody bags in advance.
  • A site risk assessment is available on request.
