Join us at the Community Roots studio at Dukinfield Library to create some beautiful botanical plaster casts! No previous experience is necessary.
Plaster casts can capture the incredibly fragile and delicate details found in nature. In this workshop you will explore the process involved in plaster casting and you will make your own cast. We will cover rolling out the clay, designing and arranging the flowers and creating your own mould for the casting process.
There will be flowers and foliage for you to choose from however, feel free to bring a small number of flowers/herbs/leaves/wildflowers/grasses of your choice from your own garden,if you prefer!
This is a lovely way to spend a creative morning either on your own or with friends in a relaxed and friendly library.
All materials will be provided but please feel free to bring an apron or old shirt with you to protect your clothes and simple refreshments and snacks will be available during the workshop.
This free workshop is being delivered as part of the Community Roots Project in conjunction with Tameside Culture, Libraries and the Know Your Neighbourhood Project.
