Make a medal

During WW2 children's toys were often handmade. A popular toy was 'cup and ball' A ball was fastened to a cup by a piece of string, and children would flick the cup to try and catch the ball inside it. It's more challenging than you might think! We are going to make our own cup and ball game, only this one is a frog fly catcher. This drop-in workshop is led by artist Helen Dodsworth.

Suitable for all ages, children must be supervised at all times. The activity costs £1.35 per child - please buy your ticket at the museum reception desk. Please note you may have to wait for a space at the craft table during busy times.
