Portland Basin Museum’s ever popular magical ‘Meet Father Christmas’ event is back and we can’t wait to welcome you. Father Christmas will be meeting and greeting children in our cosy old fashioned parlour on our 1920s street, which has been specially decorated for the festive season. Each child will receive a gift and you will have the opportunity to take a photo with Father Christmas.
Tickets must be pre-booked via TicketSource. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Monday 27 October Book your tickets here.
We are selling tickets within 30 minute time slots, with 15 tickets available within that time slot. Your time with Father Christmas will last a few minutes and you can arrive any time within your 30 minute time slot. Tickets are £10 per child – please buy one ticket per child. Each child with a ticket will receive a gift. If you bring more than one child, they can all go in the parlour to see Father Christmas at the same time. Accompanying adults do not need to purchase a ticket. Please be aware you may have a short wait to see Father Christmas.
This year we are running the event over 2 dates, with different additional activities happening around the museum on each day:
Saturday 6 December 2025 - there will be children’s craft activities available on this day 11am-3pm
Sunday 7 December 2025 – there will be a handmade market in the museum on this day
