Join us for Saturdays on the Square, a new monthly event in Ashton town centre filled with family-friendly entertainment!

Building on the success of Fridays on the Square, this initiative features a variety of musical and creative performances for all ages.

‍

Street performers will move throughout the town centre and around Fletcher Square, ensuring everyone can enjoy the festivities, regardless of where they are.

‍

Funded by the UK Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) for Communities and Place, and organised by Tameside Council, these events will provide fun for all ages.

• Saturday, August 24, 2024
• Saturday, September 21, 2024
• Saturday, October 26, 2024

There's FREE parking at all the events for the day too in Union Street Car Park, OL6 6JA.

Ashton Town Centre around Fletcher Square (at the rear of the Market Hall)

There'll be:

• Musical Performances: From dance to rock and roll and Latin-themed tunes.
• Quirky Characters: Larger-than-life themed characters bringing joy and excitement!
• Flexible Entertainment: Performers will adapt to the ongoing transformation of Market Square by moving around to different locations.
• Balloon modellers and facepainters with lots of arty activities for all ages.

Saturdays on the Square aims to celebrate Ashton's vibrant community and support local food vendors, retail shops, and market traders.
