Steampunk is back at Portland Basin Museum, featuring Steampunk-themed dance performances from Tangled Dance Company. What is Steampunk you say? It has been described as imagining the future through the lens of being a Victorian! Victorian time travellers ready to head on an adventure. Organised by local Steampunk enthusiasts, Ashton Steampunk, there will be a variety of market stalls selling Steampunk clothing and accessories, plus the amazing spectacle of seeing people dressed to impress in their Steampunk finery. Come along, take part if you want, and enjoy the event, plus meet new people.
We're delighted to welcome Tangled Dance Company who will be performing 'Cogs of Time', a series of special Steampunk-inspired performances throughout the day. The dancers create atmosphere through elegant, mechanical-inspired movement, interacting with visitors and inviting them into their world of cogs. Don't miss these highly visual and atmospheric performances.
