Come join your creative peers from across Tameside at our next Network event!
At this meeting, we will be welcoming local archivists and artists to talk abut their work bringing art and local history together.
The Local Studies Archivist will be giving us a tour of the archives, and two local artists, Christine Anderson and Martha Webster, will be chatting to us about themselves and their work, and how they have recently used the archives and drawn upon local heritage and history in their own creative practice. Christine will also be showing us her latest piece, which is currently installed in the atrium in the Local Studies centre!
There will also be a unique opportunity to feed into the Tameside Cultural Strategy, in a short consultation led by a representative from Tameside Council.
And as always, there will be ample opportunity for everyone there to give their own announcements, plug their own work, and network.
Tea, biscuits and snacks will be provided.
Tickets can be booked here.
If you have any access requirements you would like the event organizers aware of beforehand, please email Hannah.Alwan-Weston@tameside.gov.uk.
Tameside Creative Network is a space to meet, connect with and learn from your creative peers from across the borough! Any and all creative folk are welcome no matter your background, where you are in your career or practice, or if you can only make one meeting in ten! Everyone is welcome.
