Tameside is a distinctive and diverse place and of course we need a cultural programme which reflects our uniqueness, character and people and that’s where you come in.

We currently run a broad public and education programme across a wide range of sectors but are on the look (as always) for more talented and creative freelancers to add to our cultural family who can help us make add more splash, vibrancy and style to our developing programme which includes lots of workshops, outdoor arts and environmental content, creative workshops, outdoor theatre and a rolling community arts programme (and more!).

2022 was a truly fantastic year where we delivered and commissioned a unique and exciting showcase programme of festivals, arts award, school education and holiday workshops, community engagement, civic events, theatre and musical events in celebration of Stalybridge being the Greater Manchester Town of Culture. Our annual festive extravaganza Northern Lights Lantern Parade provided a family friendly finale alongside a fabulous Festive Window Trail in Ashton under Lyne. This was only made possible due to the work we did with brilliant local artists and businesses.

This year, we are looking to build on our successes and are planning more great events and opportunities for everyone to embrace and experience culture across Tameside.

So, whether you are a creative storyteller and facilitator, craftsperson, visual artist, designer maker, performer, photographer, artist or writer who excels at engaging people through content through visual art and have experience working across communities and age groups with a passion for nurturing the creative sparks of residents whilst developing skills and confidence, we would love to hear from you!

In return we can offer you a fantastic opportunity to really help make a difference to the community and creatively connect with local residents of all ages.
