Imbolc marks the halfway point between winter and spring — a moment of quiet awakening in the Celtic seasonal calendar. The days grow a little longer, birdsong returns, and the first shoots of snowdrops and crocuses hint at the life to come.

• Tend the garden and sow wildflower seeds

• Notice the early signs of spring

• Gather indoors to craft your own beeswax candle to take home and light

A simple, hopeful ritual to welcome back the returning light.
