Love in the Market 2026
Love in the Market returns for 2026, bringing a full day of live music, family theatre and free creative activities to Ashton Market Hall. Produced by creative industry students from Tameside College as part of the Tameside New Creatives programme, this one‑day festival showcases emerging local talent and offers engaging activities for all ages.
What to expect
- Live Music: Performances from acclaimed indie‑folk trio Good Habits and returning party band VIP.
- Family Theatre: A charming puppetry show, From the River’s Mouth, presented by The League of Curiosity and ideal for children aged 5–10.
- Creative Workshops: Free drop‑in sessions including Valentine’s card‑making, paper flower crafting, decorative making and screen‑printed tote bags, led by local artists.
About the event
Love in the Market is designed to nurture the next generation of creative producers while bringing culture and community activity into the heart of the market. The event is part of Tameside New Creatives, supported by Tameside Council and delivered by Curated Place in partnership with Tameside College.
Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy a lively, family‑friendly day celebrating creativity in Ashton.
