Wild Reflectionsbrings together a vibrant collection of wildlife portraits that celebrate the beauty, character and vulnerability of animals. Anne’s work is shaped by close observation and a love of capturing character, resulting in artwork that feels expressive, energetic and full of personality.
Many pieces are inspired by her own reference photos and first-hand observations atcon servation focused zoos across the UK and Europe, including Welsh Mountain Zoo, Blackpool Zoo, Chester Zoo, Edinburgh Zoo, London Zoo, Hoo Zoo and Jungle Park Tenerife.
Alongside endangered species, the exhibition also highlights working animals and those often overlooked. Each piece focuses on the character of the animal, using bright colours and bold layouts that pull focus on the subject matter. This collection invites visitors to pause, reflect and connect with the animals we share our world with.

The Streets of Ashton, by Lilibelle Anthony
Lilibelle Anthony is a 24-year-old traditional artist living in Stalybridge, and she is delighted to be presenting her work in the Market Gallery!
Lilibelle graduated from MMU in 2023 with a degree in Illustration, and has gone on to sell some of her work from private displays at Afflecks Palace and Dilla Academy.
Her key style features heavy amounts of detail and linework to create a world slightlytwisted and obscure. Lilibelle has illustrated Ashton with its many familiarlocations, by using simple biro pen, and black ink fine liner, seen in the mottled brickwork, and the many twists and turns of the winding streets. Lilibelle’s style gives a dreamlike, ‘rough’ look to the peaceful and domestic. Old houses look like twisted cottages, and alleyways look like tunnels into theunknown. The texture and shadows of the places she explores, and draws have always been a very important part of her work.
The Streets of Ashton is a series line drawings combining the normal, familiar places and grand localbuildings of Ashton-Under-Lyne. Each piece is drawn with both a simple black biro pen and a 0.5mm ink fine liner.
Lilibelle wanted to highlight the beauty of even the humblest places in Ashton but also give it a sense of mystery and adventure, giving unremarkable places and buildings a level of Majesty. The drawings also centre the beautiful architecture found in the many of the local churches.
